His previous album 137 Avenue Kaniama - named after the address in Lubumbashi where Baloji saw his long-lost mother again - dates back to 2018. In 2024, Baloji is back in full force - and how! AUGURE is the nickname of his challenging project that takes three wonderful forms. AUGURE is first and foremost Baloji's debut as a director. He immediately ended up in the official selection of the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, for the prize in the 'Un Certain Regard' category.
